Susie Reade

Art House 29
10 John Street
Open: 7/8 and 14/15 September

Susie’s work is painted with home made plant inks. Colour variation is affected by their drying, layering and sunlight. Visit to enjoy this fun and intriguing process.

It has been a significant year during which Susie’s normal art practice was put on hold by the arrival of a puppy to be raised as a Guide Dog (for the blind). The undercurrent of this exhibition represents Susie’s return to visual investigation. Her fascination with colour, texture, found objects and drawing is returning. During the last few years Susie has focussed on historical narrative painting. Now it is the art processes themselves to which she has turned. These are aimed to minimise the use of harmful substances in art making. She is making her own inks and using found materials.
