We are delighted to announce another year’s support for our continued walking based programme from Smarter Choices, Smarter Places Fund (Paths for All’s programme to increase active and sustainable travel throughout Scotland, grant-funded by Transport Scotland).
This year the fund will support a range of walking courses through active engagement in a number of ecological sites across Edinburgh’s outskirt areas deepening our connection with the natural world. The three courses centre on fungi, lichen and trees working with a number of artists, scientists, poets and ecologists involving areas of Craigmillar, Lochend and Granton. They will combine the physicality of increased walking and increased awareness around active travel, alongside engagement through creative learning that connects people to the living landscapes around them.
Further details to follow in due course.
