Rosie Nimmo

Art House 30
Address: 1 John Street
Open: 6/7 and 13/14 September, 10am-6pm
Also open by appointment (8th – 12th September)

For Rosie’s show, she will reflect this year’s theme of ‘Showground’ but also exhibit a retrospective selection of work from the past, using a variety of media.

Influenced by contemporary painter Andrew Cranston,  Rosie’s most recent work plays with perspective and focus.  Her new oil paintings reflect a more cerebral way of working. She is also showing a range of other work including mixed media, printmaking, acrylic, drawing.

Rosie was educated at Edinburgh College of Art, 1993 – 97, BA Hons in Drawing and Painting and Queen Margaret College, 1997 – 99, Diploma in Art Therapy. She has won awards at art college (Andrew Duncan travel award and 1st year painting prize) and has had  work selected for open submission exhibitions at the RSA. Her work has also been exhibited in a number of galleries, most recently the Quay Gallery in Aberdour.
