Art House 19
11 Bellfield Lane
Open: 7/8 September
Rosa’s multimedia practise explores our connection to nature within a landscape that grows increasingly divided. Inspirations include the Celtic Revival Movement, Folklore, and her unwavering commitment to making.
With work ranging from large sculptural lamps and screens to small functional pottery and carved wooden wall hangings, Rosa’s expansive practise is a visual exploration into the language of crafting and its inherent connection to human use. Playing with the boundaries of sculpture and functional objects, her practise investigates the Scottish landscape and our ever-changing connection to it. Rosa draws inspiration from folklore which acts as a vehicle to help us respect the natural world around us. The weather, sea, land and sky are all represented through different stories and characters. She aims to reimagine these stories in the hope of increasing awareness of our changing environment.
