Created by artist Deirdre Macleod, Festoon invited participants to walk slowly in a line, carrying portable lighted frames around the darker spaces of Portobello during the 2018 Art Walk Porty Pleasure Ground programme – spaces that can be lost after dark, to create a walking illumination.
Festoon involved two performative walks around Portobello involving the site of Craigentinny Telferton Allotments and Portobello town centre.
