Morvern is a freelance illustrator, printmaker and storyteller. She is showing a selection of work created using traditional printmaking techniques, heavily inspired by Scottish folk craft and mythology, featuring work which is transformative and often tells a story.

About Morvern is an award-winning illustrator, printmaker and storyteller, currently based in Edinburgh. Since graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design with a First Class BA Hons in Illustration, she has gone on to self-publish her original book The Huldufólk and work as a freelance creative. Morvern’s work often tells a story, taking us on a journey through characterful and carefully considered design. Her work also utilises many traditional printmaking methods and is heavily inspired by folk craft and mythology from her shared Scottish and Scandinavian heritage.

She was listed a ‘Graduates to Watch list’ in 2021 and won the Sekalski Award for Printed Arts in 2022. She received the 2022 Crighton Bequest for Illustration and Graphic Design and has been highly commended for her work. Her most recent exhibition was a solo exhibition ‘Leith Folk & Lore’ at Out of the Blue Drill Hall, Edinburgh.
