Julia MacAulay

Art House 2
Address: 16 Rosefield Place
Open: 2/3 and 9/10 September

A variety of work in various media: oils, acrylic, inks and collage. Kichenalia; tabletops, pots and vessels-collections of memory and place. Playful arrangements with twists on perception and scale.

Her mediums are oils and acrylic as well as occasional use of cold wax, oil crayons and inks. Her choice of media depends on the subject and what she feels is the appropriate means to convey her observations. Lately she has been interested in tabletops and the story they tell-often abstracted with a playfulness with regard to perception, memory and scale. Other subjects do inspire including a bird’s eye view of a river and a coracle linked to a journey along the African coastline.

Her work has been in the Arusha Gallery, Velvet Easel, Flat Cat Gallery, Lauder, Whitehouse Gallery, Kirkcudbright, and of course Art Walk Porty.
