An eclectic mix of landscapes and still life paintings in oil with some more delicate paintings of flowers and animals in watercolour.

Having discovered her love of painting once her children had grown up and left home, Judy Dale first concentrated on still life but has since broadened her expertise into landscapes. A core member of local art groups in East Lothian, Judy adores the opportunity to share her love of painting with her fellow enthusiasts, finding inspiration from the beauty of flowers, plants and the natural world. Living so close to the coast has allowed Judy to bring together her love of the outdoors with that of watercolour to broaden her repertoire and create a range of stunning landscape scenes. Favouring both oil and watercolours, Judy’s fine eye for detail and deep understanding of light and colour has allowed her to create an eclectic range of art from her home studio in East Lothian.

About As an enthusiastic amateur over the last 30 years, Judy has studied with: Edinburgh College of Art, Damian Callan, Leith School of Art, Poldrate Art Centre Paintbox School of Art and Anna Wimbledon. Judy belongs to several art groups and exhibits regularly in local art exhibitions in Dunbar, Haddington, East Linton, Gifford, Cockburnspath, The Hub at Humbie, The Cancer Research Exhibition Edinburgh and the Pittenweem Art Festival.
