Judy is an amateur artist who rejoices in colour and produces atmospheric landscapes in pastel or oil and vibrant still lifes in oil or watercolour.
Judy began painting when her children became more independent, allowing her to embrace her creativity. At first she focussed on still life scenes, especially flowers, but more recently she has begun to explore coastal landscapes. Capturing the ever-changing light and atmosphere of the sea and sky has provided her with new artistic challenges and inspiration. She uses various mediums including watercolour, oils, acrylics, and pastel, deepening her artistic journey. Experimenting has also helped her push boundaries and grow as an artist, continually exploring the beauty of her surroundings.

She has attended courses at Leith School of Art, Edinburgh College of Art, the Paintbox School of Art, and the Poldrate Mill, studied with Damian Callan, Ann Oram, and Anna Wimbledon.
Judy belongs to several art groups and exhibits regularly in local art exhibitions in Dunbar, Haddington, East Linton, Gifford, Cockburnspath, The Hub at Humbie, The CancerResearch Exhibition Edinburgh, the Pittenweem Art Festival, and Art Walk Porty.
