Imogen Waibel is a fine artist who explores nature and man’s interactions with it. She produces larger oil paintings and smaller sketches and drawings done in situ using collage and mixed media.
She has worked with themes including gazing outside from within, manipulating perspectives, extreme close-ups and low viewpoints to draw attention to the plant and animal life that exists alongside us. Whilst she mainly works with oil paint, on larger, detailed studies she has recently been exploring collage and mixed media as this allows her to work outside at Portobello beach and respond to what she sees more immediately.
