Oil paintings and glass panels incorporating a mix of glass techniques, painted glass, stain glass and fused glass. Shorelines, cityscapes, acrobats and family gatherings all feature.

Denise has recently discovered the joy (and frustration) of painting and this year she is displaying a number of oil paintings as well as fused and stained glass panels. Since completing a painting course at Leith School of Art she is excited to share her work in this year’s exhibition. The twin themes for these paintings include Reflective Times at the Shore and Extended Family Gatherings.
She will also be showing her work from her glass practice which includes fused, stained and painted glass panels. Denise particularly enjoys the fragility and rigidity of the material, requiring extreme processes and equipment to change its shape.
Denise has exhibited in the Abbeyhill Colony of Artists and has enjoyed hosting open house exhibitions over the last 12 years in Abbeyhill and Portobello.
